Heel Pain
The most common foot complaint we see.
Heel pain is the most common complaint we treat. The usual culprit is plantar fasciitis — inflammation of the band of tissue running along the sole of the foot — but heel pain can also stem from Sever’s disease (common in active children and teens), calcaneal (heel-bone) stress fractures, or bursitis.
We diagnose the specific cause, then treat it conservatively. Custom orthotics are the single most effective treatment for most heel pain, taking load off the painful tissue while it heals. We’ll combine that with stretching, footwear advice and load management to get you walking comfortably again.
