Forefoot Pain

Pain through the ball of the foot and toes can take the joy out of every step — let’s fix it.

About forefoot pain

Forefoot pain is felt across the ball of the foot and toes. It can come from the way load passes through the front of the foot, from footwear, or from specific structures becoming irritated or overloaded.

Treatment

Treatment focuses on relieving the everyday aches and regaining strength through the foot. We commonly use orthotic therapy and footwear changes to offload the painful area, alongside targeted strengthening exercises to rebuild capacity.

How Auckland Sports Podiatry can help

We identify what’s overloading your forefoot, then offload it — usually with a combination of orthotic therapy, footwear changes and strengthening to relieve the ache and restore strength.

Every plan starts with finding the true cause of your pain. From there we may combine orthotic therapy, footwear advice, strengthening and stretching, strapping or bracing, gait changes and activity modification — whatever gets you moving comfortably again.
